Make IT Happy Competition

e-skills UK, the Sector Skills Council for Business and Information Technology has announced the Make IT Happy Competition is now open to applications from primary schools in the UK.

This year the theme of the competition is "Get your community online" and it aims to reward the most innovative, community focused IT project created by 9 to 11 year olds.

New projects can be entered, or one the school is already involved in or has been involved in recently. Projects can be presented by using a:

  • podcast
  • video
  • animation
  • radio show
  • website
  • radio ad

The winning school from each of the English Regions and Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland will receive a cash prize of £1,200. They will also be a prize for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed school selected from the regional winners and they will receive a cash prize of £4,000 for first place; £2,500 for second place; and £1,500 for 3rd place. .
